Precision Air to Restart Flights to Uganda

Precision Air Uganda Entebbe

Tanzanian air carrier Precision Air (DSE: PAL) announced that it will relaunch flights to Entebbe after a market study revealed that there was demand for flights between Tanzania and Uganda.

“We will start with four flights per week every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Passengers between Tanzania and Uganda should expect affordable and reliable flights”, Precision Air’s Commercial Director Robert Owusu explained.

Ticket sale is expected to commence on 10th March 2017.

Precision Air suspended flights to Entebbe in 2013 during the route rationalization process and network restructuring.

Precision Air currently flies in Tanzania to Tabora, Musoma, Kigoma, Mtwara, Bukoba, Arusha, Kilimajaro, Mwanza, Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam, but outside of Tanzania only to Nairobi.

The company’s half year results for the period ended 30th September 2016 indicate a loss after tax of TZS 879 million versus a loss of TZS 56.5 billion in September 2015.
